The 10 Commandments of Wage Slavery BY Claus Suk Yong Jacobsen
1) Thou shalt not think outside a box, for an office box is thy life, and I am thy Employer
2) Thou shalt rise in the early morning, before the sun gets pantyhose on, and struggle and sweat in traffic to make thy appointed hour. I am the LORD thy alarm clock!!!
3) Thou shalt work 8 hours a day and commute at least 2, not counting overtime and "interest hours"
4) Thou shalt pay for thy own upkeep out of thy own pocket, for I am thy Employer (“coffee” may be “free”)
5) Thou shalt pay thy bills on time, or I shall surely charge 30 dollar invoice fee and threaten legal action. I am the LORD thy average Multi-National Corporation.
6) Thou shalt finance thy shelter and transport by debt and suffer thy whole life the burden of paying interest to the point of family breakdown, mental illness or suicide, for I am the LORD thy Money.
7) Thou shalt sell thyself on the employment market like a harlot and be proud thereof
8) Thou shalt be thankful thou have a job in the first place
9) Thou shalt envy thy neighbor’s house, car, wife, husband, mistress or lover, plus their extravagant dishes and gym routines on Facebook
10) Thou shalt envy celebrities, royalties and rich people for their vulgar looks, their obscene luxury and their superficial lifestyle. I am the LORD thy Magazine
