Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Israeli Jewish Rabbi said on Wednesday that Christians are not welcome in Jerusalem; he does not mind burning mosques and churches.


Bentzi Gopstein told the Israeli TV Channel Two that Israeli Jewish practically prevent Christians from entering Jerusalem.

He also called for making obstacles towards the expansion of Christianity and Islam in the Palestinian occupied city of Jerusalem.

The extremist rabbi also said that he does not mint burning mosques and churches in Jerusalem, stating that the Israeli authorities “must” arrest Christian monks and nuns.

Gopstein is the head of the notorious extremist Israeli Jewish group of Lahava, which is responsible for insulting and harassing monks and nuns in the occupied Palestinian holy city.

Several Israeli groups are active in the occupied holy city regarding judaisation activities, including confiscating Islamic and Christian properties.

Israeli TV has previously proved that the Israeli government stands behind these groups although it sometimes condemns their acts.

Israel Cuts Gas Supplies To The Gaza Strip In Midst Of Winter

Every year, the Israeli occupation cuts cooking gas supplies for Gaza residents during the most extreme cold waves, which tend to begin at the end of December.

Gaza, Occupied Territories – The suffering of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip has doubled, due to Israeli cuts on cooking gas supplies during this current wave of extreme cold.

“It is week four since the Israeli authorities severely decreased cooking gas supplies for the Gaza Strip,” said Mohamed al-Abadaleh, member of the Union of Owners of Fuel and Gas Companies.

He also said that the amount allowed into Gaza is only 15 per cent of the daily need during normal times; however, the current consumption is far more than the 300 tons, due to the cold weather of winter.

Gaza stations across the Gaza Strip are full of empty gas containers, as they are unable to fulfill the needs of the consumers.

People have started using coal and wood fire for cooking and other tasks, in order to keep life going on.

Days of Palestine notes that Israeli authorities have been stealing Palestinian gas off the Mediterranean coast, using it and selling it to the world.

In addition, it imposes restrictions on Palestinians in Gaza, with regard to obtaining gas from the huge reserves.

Israeli settlers raze old monastery in West Bank

“Israeli settlers razed this monastery attempting to erase any historical proof that the location of their illegal settlement [Alisheem] is Palestinian,” Ma’ali said.

Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli Jewish settlers razed on Wednesday an old monastery in Kafr Ed-Deek, to the west of West Bank city of Salfeet.

The monastery was built more than 15 centuries ago but Palestinian Christian inhabitants of the area, whose grandsons are still living in the nearby areas.

“It was carved in a huge rock in that Palestinian neighbourhood,” researcher Khalid Ma’ali told Days of Palestine. “It is at least 15 hundred years old.”

Ma’ali said that the monastery was deserted years after the 1967 Israeli war of the West Bank as most of the Palestinian neighbourhood of Kafr Ed-Deek turned to a settlements for Jewish-only settlers.

According to the researcher, the old monastery was built during the Byzantine Empire and it was a shrine for Palestinians from different religions before the 1967 Israeli occupation.


“Israeli settlers razed this monastery attempting to erase any historical proof that the location of their illegal settlement [Alisheem] is Palestinian,” Ma’ali said. “They [Israeli Jews] are not haters of Muslims, but of Christians and all other religions,” he added.
