Girl, friends killed for 'honour' in Uttar Pradesh
A 19-year-old girl and her two friends were allegedly lynched by her uncle and brother in Deoria district, police said.
Bodies of Anita and her two friends Neeta (22) and Sarita (17) were recovered from a pit in Siwan village on November 4, ADGP Brij Lal said.
Anita's uncle Daddan Rajbhar, brother Ghanshhyam Rajbhar and two others, identified as Manoj and Manohar were yesterday arrested in this connection, Lal said.
Daddan, a resident of Aurangabad, said Anita was having an affair with a youth in neighbourhood, he said, adding, the accused suspected that Sarita and Neeta were helping the couple.
The accused lynched the girls and later buried them in a pit, he said.
