CHILD TRAFFICKING AND CHILD ABUSE HAS TO COME TO AN END.

Trafficking in children is a global problem affecting large numbers of children. Some estimates have as many as 1.2 million children being trafficked every year. There is a demand for trafficked children as cheap labour or for sexual exploitation. Children and their families are often unaware of the dangers of trafficking, believing that better employment and lives lie in other countries.

Girl, 3, raped in TN village

Rameswaram: A three-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth at a village in Ramanathapuram District today.
Police arrested V Thangapandi (23) following information from the neighbours.
The girl was playing in front of her house in Mullwadi village when Thangapandi took her to his home and allegedly raped her. On hearing her screams, neighbours rushed to the house and rescued the girl.
Erwadi Deputy Superintendent of Police Sangu rushed to the village and arrested the youth.
