Man ends life after tiff with girlfriend

Lucknow: A 28-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of room after allegedly having a dispute with his girlfriend, under Alambagh police station area on Sunday. The suicide note recovered by the police from the spot had a description of when he had first met his girl friend. 

The man, who used to deal in shares, was identified as Kishanlal, a native of Jaunpur, residing as a tenant at one Brij Mohan's house in Chandanagar locality under Alambagh police station area. 

The police said that the girl used to frequent Kishanlal's place and had come on Sunday morning also. The police had recovered some items, including a purse, belonging to the said girl from the spot. 

The girl is a native of Ballia district, said the police. The police said that when the girl had come to Kishanlal's house, they both had a dispute over some issue. Owing to this, Kishalal first tried to cut the veins of his left hand. Following which, he hanged himself from the ceiling of the room using a bedsheet. 

The police, on receiving the information, reached the spot and have started an investigation into the matter. The police recovered a suicide note, which stated that the deceased had met the girl during the treatment of his mother, who was ill at that time.
