Attack on girl: accused surrenders
VISAKHAPATNAM: Praveen, B. Tech student, who slashed the throat of his junior after she allegedly spurned his advances, surrendered before the I Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate J.M. Bharata Lakshmi here on Wednesday.
The judge remanded him to custody till October 5. Praveen's advocate M. Satyanarayana told the media that the accused had asked the girl as to what she would do if he killed her. She challenged him to do so and he slashed her throat with a blade on the spur of the moment.
