CHILD TRAFFICKING AND CHILD ABUSE HAS TO COME TO AN END.

Trafficking in children is a global problem affecting large numbers of children. Some estimates have as many as 1.2 million children being trafficked every year. There is a demand for trafficked children as cheap labour or for sexual exploitation. Children and their families are often unaware of the dangers of trafficking, believing that better employment and lives lie in other countries.

Haiti security tight ahead of poll


With so many eligible voters living in refugee camps as elections loom, there are security concerns.





As Haiti's presidential elections approach, riot police are being given extra training because of security concerns. But not everyone agrees that's the right tactic.

Al Jazeera's Sebastian Walker reports from Port-au-Prince.
